Utilizing Artificial Intelligence-based Paraphrasing Tool in EFL Writing Class: A Focus on Indonesian University Students’ Perceptions

<span>This </span><span lang="EN-US">study aims to investigate students’ perception of <em>QuillBot</em> utilization in an EFL academic writing</span><span lang="EN-US">course. This phenomenological case study involved </span><span>20</span><span lang="EN-US"> s</span><span>ixth</span><span lang="EN-US">-semester students majoring English Education as the participants. Data were collected through online questionnaire distributed all participants and face-to-face interviews with five who purposefully selected based on their responses questions questionnaire</span><span>. lang="EN-US">The results data analysis reveal that exhibited positive toward </span><em><span>QuillBot</span></em><span writing.</span><span Furthermore, they also find beneficial for three reasons; first, it helps improve content or argument; second, minimizes grammatical errors, third, enhances language used manuscripts. It could be concluded integrating artificial intelligence such paraphrasing tools overcome some lang="EN-US">difficulties encountered writing papers, consequently products.</span><span lang="EN-US">This implies use AI-based technology classrooms would advantageous a variety ways; however, further research is required determine relative importance each element regarding students' tool, particularly </span><em><span>QuillBot.</span></em><p> </p>
